Sindh Solar System Scheme Free Solar Panels & Application Guide
The Sindh government has launched the Free Solar Home System Scheme for 130,000 families for all districts in Sindh Province, with distribution starting after 20 August 2025.
This scheme is open to families in Sindh whose monthly electricity bill is less than 100 units and who have not applied for any other government solar power program.

Who Can Apply for the Sindh Solar Panel Scheme 2025?
- Household electricity use should be 100 units or less for each of the last six months.
- The family must not have benefited from any earlier government solar panel scheme.
Documents Needed
- Photocopy of CNIC
- Latest electricity bill
- Completed application form signed by your Union Council Chairman or any gazetted officer
- Forms without proper verification will not be accepted.

- Send your filled form and documents before August 20, 2025, to:
Sindh Energy Department, 3rd Floor, State Life Building No. 3, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road, Karachi.
Important Reminder
- Sending your form does not confirm selection. Applying early is better.
Selection & Setup
- If more than 120,000 people apply, a draw will decide who gets the solar systems.
- The Project Monitoring Committee will make the final decision and cannot be challenged.
- Selected homes will get free installation of solar panels by an NGO, with a third party checking the process to ensure fairness
How to Apply for the Sindh Solar System Scheme 2025?
Residents from all districts of Sindh can easily apply, but they must meet the condition of having a recent electricity bill showing 100 units or less. Attach a copy of your CNIC and the filled application form, then send it to the given address to benefit from this opportunity.
What is the Address of the Sindh Solar System Scheme Office?
Applicants can either submit all required documents in person or send them by post to: Project of Home Solar System (On Grid), Sindh Energy Department, 3rd Floor, State Life Building No. 3, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road, Karachi.
Under this scheme, each selected family will receive lithium battery inverters and solar panels, which will be installed at their homes. This was announced by Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah during the program’s launch.
Forms that are not verified will not be processed, as instructed by the department.
If more than 120,000 applications are received, a lucky draw will be held to select the required number of beneficiaries. This process will ensure transparency in the scheme.
Funding and Installation Details
Families who are finalized for the program will have their solar systems installed at their homes through an NGO, while a third-party inspection team will review the entire process to prevent any errors or misconduct.
